Job Title: Transmission Line Principal Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Transmission Line Principal Engineer to join our team. In this remote role, you will manage the design and construction of High Voltage Transmission line projects from conception through commissioning. You will work closely with stakeholders to define project requirements and scope, secure consulting resources, and ensure successful project delivery.
As the Transmission Line Principal Engineer, you will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders, manage engineering deliverables, and coordinate with other project stakeholders to ensure a seamless execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the design and engineering of transmission generation tie lines for Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage projects, as well as stand-alone transmission line projects.
- Work with the Early-Stage Project Manager to define and influence project requirements and scope with the Development Group.
- Secure engineering consulting resources by developing a scope of work, obtaining bids, and awarding work through Integrated Supply Chain (ISC).
- Coordinate with other project stakeholders to develop and secure routes, permits, and data needed to design and build transmission lines.
- Manage engineering deliverables in support of competitive proposals and for the construction of projects.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in the development, design, engineering, and construction of High Voltage Transmission line projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD, Auto-CAD, and Primavera.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel within North America.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project engineering and project management.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Availability to work in EST or CST time zones.
