Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Murex Analyst with 3 to 7 years of experience. This role is critical and requires a local candidate to either Montreal, QC, or Mississauga, ON. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and have hands-on experience with the Murex platform, particularly in the following areas:
Responsibilities:
Murex Binary Non-Regression Testing:
- Own and manage the Murex binary non-regression testing.
- Collaborate with the QA team to investigate and resolve discrepancies found in the automation process within the following modules:
- Batch feeder related to Treasury datamart (e.g., cost of funds).
- Cash rollover process.
Cash Flow Analysis:
- Analyze cash flow discrepancies in the live book used to build the cash ladder for the treasury team.
PLVAR Module Support:
- Support BAU (Business As Usual) and new projects for FICC and EQD products on the PLVAR module by:
- Replicating PLVAR results for each risk factor.
- Creating new extractions or feeders of Murex on PLVAR.
- Assisting the business in investigating issues related to PLVAR results.
- Collaborating with downstream IT teams to address data quality issues in reporting.
- Utilizing SQL to analyze data in the Sybase database of Murex.
Totem Submission:
- Manage Totem submissions for new product deployments or investigate BAU issues found in existing submissions.
- Provide pricing mapping between Totem submission templates and the Murex e-tradepad fields.
- Work with senior Java developers and Murex vendors to validate/debug any API pricing issues in Murex.
- Knowledge of pre-trade rules is a plus.
Communication and Documentation:
- Exhibit excellent communication skills in writing and leading meetings with multi-desk users such as treasury, product control, all FO desks, MO, IT PRD support, and IT environment teams.
- Document business requests in JIRA tickets and the solutions deployed.
- Follow up on tasks, escalate blockers, and share knowledge using platforms like Confluence.
- Seek opportunities for automation to minimize manual processes.
