Job Description:
Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Core Optimization Program, Data Management & Integration Optimization (DMIO) Program, and/or various business process projects enabled by selected solutions. Reporting to a CPMO project manager, the Business Analyst will collaborate closely with business and functional areas to provide comprehensive project planning, management, coordination, and execution for assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate working sessions and document results for mapping source fields to target fields between ERP and connected applications.
- Perform initial data quality assurance and completeness checks on finalized functional design specifications.
- Steward completed documents through the approval/sign-off process, providing background and facilitating clarifying discussions as required.
- Clarify questions on functional design specifications for developers.
- Participate in data standards and process creation, reviews, updates, development, and documentation.
- Serve as the liaison between the project, technology, and sustainment teams.
- Manage and execute required stakeholder and client engagement across project deliverables to support the project plan and scope outline.
- Collaborate with project team members to progress the project forward according to the project plan and scope outline.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract from low-level information to a general understanding.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver artifacts such as functional requirements (business requirements document), use cases, workflow diagrams, and context diagrams.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- At least 10 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar capacity.
- Working knowledge of accounting and finance processes; ERP experience, specifically in SAP ECC or SAP S/4 HANA, is an asset.
- Experience with systems and data integration, including understanding underlying data and business process flows; middleware technologies experience is an asset.
- Experience with data analysis and assessing impacts to data due to changing processes.
- Direct working experience or project experience in business areas or functions.
- Oil & Gas/Energy industry experience is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and relationship-building skills.
- Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
