Job Title: IT Project Controls Analyst – IT Portfolio & Cloud Investments
Location: Calgary, AB, Canada (onsite 4 days/week)
Job Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $60-$70/hr incorporated
Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Summary:
The primary responsibility of the IT Project Controls Analyst is to collaborate with IT Project Managers to update and manage IT budgeting and forecasting for IT projects. The role involves cost management using SAP and ServiceNow.

Scope of Accountabilities:

• Execute the monthly, annual, and multi-year IT project budgeting and forecasting process for the IT organization, including reconciliation, variance analysis, and accruals.
• Meet regularly with Project Managers and the IT Leadership team to review forecasts and financial changes to the IT Project Portfolio.
• Create ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual spend reports for Project Managers and the IT Leadership team.
• Assist with IT Portfolio Management processes.
• Perform spend analysis of the IT Projects budget.
• Liaise with Accounting to determine appropriate financial treatment for IT projects and initiatives.
• Update financials in ServiceNow for IT projects.
• Create AFEs in SAP and track accruals.
• Support miscellaneous project team requests and perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in a budgetary/accounting role working with an ERP Financial System and strong financial acumen.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience within an IT department.
• Above average skills in SAP, ServiceNow, Excel, and Power BI.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
• Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt to conflicting demands and rapidly changing priorities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Personal qualities include tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
