Job Description:
Our company is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be reporting to the Production Manager and will be responsible for all incoming and outgoing material-related documentation, its packaging, and associated BOM & shipping costs. The company provides an end-to-end access control, workforce management, and health screening solution using touchless biometrics. Our devices capture accurate data to perform intelligent analytics and generate meaningful, user-friendly dashboards to help businesses of all sizes become healthier, more productive, and more secure. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Assume receiving, packing, inspection, shipping, and inventory control duties.
- Determine the best shipment methods and prepare shipping documents, bills, and invoices.
- Assemble shipping containers, pack goods to be shipped, and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
- Track shipments and resolve customer delivery-related issues as required.
- Unpack, inspect, and verify incoming goods against invoices and other documents, document shortages, and reject non-compliant or damaged goods.
- Assist drivers in unloading goods and route to appropriate areas.
- Lead the movement of inventory from initial receipt to production shipments.
- Kit material for manufacturing work orders and record using ERP system.
- Receive, unload, and transport freight both manually and with a trolley.
- Check for damaged goods and verify the quantity and quality of orders.
- Verify items received against purchase orders.
- Receive material using the internal MRP system, label materials, and release them to production.
- Prepare shipping documents (BOL, Packing Lists, and Customs Invoices) using the internal MRP system.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of shipping and customs documentation.
- Experience working within an ERP-driven environment.
- Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Well-organized and resourceful.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods is an asset.
- Strong work ethic and housekeeping habits.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort in communicating with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to prioritize work activities based on financial impact to desired business goals.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
- Positive attitude: punctual, flexible, and adaptable.
- Access to a vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
